I am the youngest of Sune's norwegian cousins, and I had the pleasure of learning to know Sune and Grace as I visited them together with my family in 1981. I am so sorry that it did not come to my knowledge until May 4th that Sune has passed away, more than 5 months ago. Nobody told us. So in norwegian / swedish: Kjære Sune, takk for vårt vennskap som vi etablerte, og takk for den kontakten du ga oss med vår familie i USA. Jeg kondolerer hans barn og barnebarn. Jeg vet at han satte spor hos mange. Han følger oss nok fra stjernehimmelen sin.

While at Pace University, he was my mentor, my teacher and my friend. I remember long cold nights at the eyepiece of a telescope with him. I can only hope that I inspire my students (he got me the teaching job) the way he inspired me ! I hope he is enjoying the view of the stars from his new perspective (no doubt he's teaching someone something about the sky ;-)
